--------Spurred on by an entrepreneurial spirit, these two best friends since childhood founded Avignon Specialty & Contract Wallcoverings.  It all came about in 1992 when a brain-storming session between Caryn Outwater and Ariane Stein resulted in them both deciding to ditch their respective careers to pursue their true passion, designing gorgeous wallcoverings!  Their success has resulted in national licensing contracts as well as creating coverings for some of the worlds most talented designers and discriminating clients.

--------Ariane is a very creative person.  She comes from an artistic family and studied textile and graphic design at the University of Maryland.  Caryn’s background in business and psychology offered a unique balance to this artistic company.  They really compliment each other.

--------The quantum leap occurred when Ariane moved to Arizona to spend time with Caryn and her family.  She left her fast paced, graphics job in Manhattan, to start a new life.  Caryn also welcomed a break from 'Corporate America' and the two friends let their creative juices flow!

--------Bored no more, Outwater and Stein now spend their days creating custom painted wallcoverings.  Ariane and Caryn introduce new coverings continually and also offer full-service custom designs.  Avignon’s papers are eco-friendly, using 100% recycled paper and all water-based paints.  All designs are Class A Fire Rated.
